New BPTO service fee rates

The Brazilian Patent Office (BPTO) has published, through INPI/PR Ordinance No. 10, dated May 9, 2025, and the Industrial Property Gazette No. 2836, the new service fee rates.

We highlight that a 50% discount will be granted to individuals, microenterprises, self-employed entrepreneurs, and small businesses, provided they meet the established criteria. Additionally, low-income individuals and persons with disabilities (PwD) will be entitled to a full exemption (100%) on certain services.

Most of the changes will take effect on August 7, 2025, while some fees will only come into force on December 20, 2025.
